Licensing and copyright
Different parts of this website are published under different licenses. This page explains how my original writing, illustrations, diagrams, software, and other material may be reused. Unless a license is expressly identified, publication here or in a public source-code repository does not itself grant permission to reuse the material.
Original illustrations, diagrams, and other licensed creative work
My original graphs, diagrams, and illustrations that are identified as my work are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, unless a particular item says otherwise.
CC BY 4.0 permits copying, sharing, and adaptation, including for commercial purposes. You must give appropriate credit, link to the license, indicate whether changes were made, and avoid implying that I endorse your use. You do not need to request additional permission for uses already authorized by CC BY 4.0.
How to attribute my work
Where practical, include the work's title or description, my name, a link to its original page, a link to CC BY 4.0, and a note about modifications. For example:
“[Title or description]” by Alexander Kyriakou (alexanderkyriakou.eu), licensed under CC BY 4.0. [Adapted or modified, if applicable.]
The example is illustrative; attribution may be provided in another reasonable way consistent with the license.
Personal photographs and portraits
Personal photographs and portraits published on alexanderkyriakou.eu are excluded from the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Where Alexander Kyriakou owns the copyright, these photographs are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved. Reproduction, redistribution, modification, or commercial use requires prior permission from the copyright holder, except where permitted by applicable law.
For licensing inquiries or permission requests, please get in touch.
Photographs owned by third parties remain subject to their respective copyright holders' terms and permissions.
Software and web tools
The original software for the following tools is licensed under the Common Public Attribution License 1.0 (CPAL-1.0). Their original prose, design, and diagrams are separately licensed under CC BY 4.0. The project-specific files describe scope, notices, and attribution requirements:
- Robots.txt Checker - project license and attribution notice.
- Crawler IP Verifier - project license and attribution notice.
For the repository-level overview, see LICENSES.md. If a tool or component carries additional notices or a different license, those specific terms must also be respected.
Third-party content and other material
Not every image, photograph, icon, font, dependency, quotation, or other resource appearing on this website is necessarily created or owned by me. Third-party material remains subject to its respective rights and licenses. My CC BY 4.0 declarations do not extend to third-party content merely because it appears alongside my work.
Personal photographs, articles, and other website material not explicitly identified as available under a particular license are not automatically covered by CC BY 4.0. Check the relevant page or asset notice before reuse.
Permissions and licensing questions
If you need clarification about the rights associated with an image, want to discuss alternative terms, or believe an attribution or rights notice is incorrect, please contact me with a link to the material in question. You do not need to contact me to exercise rights already granted by an applicable public license.
